The Andhra Pradesh government has taken another significant step towards enhancing administrative efficiency and strengthening institutional systems by constituting a Joint Implementation Working Committee to fast-track the execution of its partnership agreement with Singapore .

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore, signed on November 14, 2025 , aims to promote global best practices in key sectors such as sustainable urban governance , digital governance , real-time governance , human resource development, and sustainable economic growth.

To ensure smooth coordination and effective implementation of the agreement at the ground level, Planning Department Principal Secretary Piyush Kumar on Friday issued orders appointing a five-member committee. Apart from Piyush Kumar, the committee comprises Joint Secretary Ananth Shankar , Planning Department Executive Director V.R. Alaparthi, RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain, and Finance Department Joint Financial Advisor Datti Surendra.

The state government is also preparing to establish a Joint Implementation Steering Committee to guide the project at a strategic level. While the steering committee will focus on policy decisions and long-term direction, the working committee will monitor day-to-day execution and submit periodic progress reports.

The government believes that collaboration with a globally advanced nation like Singapore will help Andhra Pradesh adopt international standards and drive transformative reforms in governance and development.
