CM Revanth Reddy to inaugurate Allu Cinemas in Kokapet on March 12
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate Allu Cinemas , a new premium multiplex backed by Allu Arjun and the Allu family, in Kokapet on the western outskirts of Hyderabad on March 12. The launch is expected to mark a major addition to the city’s growing high-end cinema infrastructure and strengthen the link between the Telangana government and the Telugu film industry.
Located within the Allu Studios complex in Kokapet , the theatre is designed as a luxury movie-watching destination with cutting-edge projection and sound technologies. The multiplex’s biggest highlight is a 75-foot-wide Dolby Cinema screen , considered one of the largest Dolby-format screens in India. It will use Dolby Vision and Dolby 3D projection technology along with a Dolby Atmos immersive audio system , delivering a highly advanced cinematic experience.
The theatre will also feature pitch-black stadium-style seating , premium interiors, and gourmet food options aimed at offering a distraction-free and comfortable viewing environment. Industry observers say the project reflects the rising demand for luxury cinema formats in Hyderabad, which already hosts several premium theatres and large-format screens.
Members of the Allu family and several celebrities from the Telugu film industry are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony. After the official launch, the management plans to conduct technical test screenings between March 12 and March 18 to fine-tune the projection and sound systems. Some global titles, including the upcoming racing drama F1 , are likely to be screened during this testing phase.
Following the trial runs, the multiplex is expected to begin full commercial operations around Ugadi on March 19 , with premieres of upcoming films including Dhurandhar 2 . The project marks the Allu family’s continued expansion into the exhibition business after earlier ventures in cinema operations.
Industry insiders say the new multiplex could become one of Hyderabad’s flagship cinema destinations, positioning Kokapet as a major entertainment hub in the city’s rapidly developing western corridor.
