The YSR Congress Party has appealed to the State Election Commission to ensure that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is carried out in a fair, transparent, and error-free manner.

In a representation submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) , YSRCP State General Secretary L. Appi Reddy urged the authorities to adopt stringent measures to prevent discrepancies in voter registration. He underlined that electoral rolls are the foundation of the democratic system and stressed the need for active participation of political parties in the revision exercise.

The party requested that constituency-wise and booth-wise voter lists used in the revision process be provided to political parties in digital format . Appi Reddy said this would help monitor issues such as deletion of voters, duplicate registrations, and transfer of voters at the ground level. He maintained that the process should safeguard the voting rights of every genuine elector.

Seeking greater transparency, YSRCP also called for the disclosure of details related to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) , including their names, assigned responsibilities, and contact information in each constituency. The party further alleged that Electoral Registration Officers in certain constituencies were delaying the acceptance of BLA-2 applications meant for the appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs). It urged the Election Commission to take immediate steps to ensure uniform and smooth acceptance of applications across the state.

The party additionally sought awareness and training programmes for political parties on the technical aspects of the voter roll revision process. Appi Reddy pointed out that doubts persist regarding voter additions, corrections, and voter mapping being conducted through the BLO app , and requested statewide training sessions to improve clarity and transparency.

Meanwhile, Vivek Yadav has already conducted training sessions for officials involved in the exercise. Municipal Commissioners and Deputy District Election Officers were briefed on field-level implementation and procedural guidelines. YSRCP stated that political parties should also be provided adequate information and sufficient time to understand the process thoroughly.
